Solution Engineer (UK/US Shift)

Purpose of the role:
As a Provar Solution Engineer, you will work closely with our customers to understand their needs. You will be a strong communicator, able to build rapport with all levels of an organization, adjusting the conversation to fit your audience. As the technical expert, you will work through the logistics of how to bring the customer’s solution to life. You will also help to maintain Provar’s competitive advantage by keeping your finger on the pulse of market and industry trends.
This is a growth role, meaning advancement into other parts of the organization (Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations) will be part of your long term career development plan.
Day-to-day responsibilities & accountabilities:
You’ll be responsible for:
● Working with customers, prospects and partners to deliver world-class product demonstrations
● Driving all aspects of successful Proof of Values and Trials from requirements and design to training and delivery
● Providing strategic pre-sales support for sales activities including needs analysis, data review, product demonstrations and other general sales support
● Becoming an expert in the features, benefits and application of Provar
● Communicating daily with sales team regarding sales activities and strategies
● Providing proactive support to customers and prospects
● Being the customer advocate and liaison for product management and development
● Responding to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs
● Collaborating with Provar SMEs to generate thought leadership content through white papers, blogs, webinars and other content creation
● Monitoring the market, industry trends, competitors and customer needs across the quality, automated testing, and software development market to identify trends and opportunities
● Developing and managing relationships with industry influencers, analysts and analyst agencies
Key skills:
You’ll have:
● In-depth knowledge of QA best practices, Selenium, and test automation
● Industry expertise: experience with the software testing process, enterprise sales and marketing, and familiarity with software development lifecycles
● Strong relationship building skills: able to build relationships of trust with internal and external stakeholders
● Strong collaboration skills: able to engage with and listen to others, adjusting communication style to suit the audience and message

It may be advantageous to also have these skills:
● A bachelor's degree from a top university
● Understanding and familiarity with CI/CD concepts and popular tooling, including but not limited to Jenkins, GitHub, Azure DevOps, and Version Control Systems
● Working knowledge of standard HTML structure and how automation interacts with the DOM using Xpath, Labels, etc.
● Experience working with REST or SOAP-based web services in a professional capacity
● In-depth knowledge of the Salesforce platform, its technologies, and industries it is associated with
● Experience and proven track record in working with Enterprise customers
● Knowledge of MEDDICC qualification framework and how to sell value
● Data driven approach: able to make strategic decisions based on data analysis and interpretation
